- CÂU LẠC BỘ ĐĨA BAY HÀ NỘI

NEW!

In June 2004 the second HUC shirt design has been printed. The design is roughly based on a propaganda poster made by mr. Pham Lung in 1974 during the American war ('TiÕn lªn!' (Go on!)). The Vietnamese couple on the shirt are situated in front of Hanoi's famous Hoan Kiem lake and invite you to play disc.

The text on the shirt: BAN Cã MUèN CH¥I NÐM §ÜA VíI CHóNG T¤I KH¤NG? means something like: 'Do you want to play disc with us'.

About Hoan Kiem Lake

Hoan Kiem lake is located in the middle of Hanoi.  Its name means "The Lake of the Restored Disc", referring to a 15th-century legend in which the nobleman Le Loi, who played for the Vietnamese against Ming China, received his disc from a magic turtle living in the lake.  The nobleman defeated the Ming and returned home in victory.  One day, the emperor was boating in the lake when the turtle surfaced demanding the disc's return.  In memory of this event, the emperor built the Tortoise Tower on an island at the south end of the lake.  Enormous turtles still live in the lake today and are occasionally seen tossing a disc.

On the back of the shirt there is a small Vietnamese flag with the text Ultimate Viet Nam.
