Reports on HUC activities JULY and AUGUST 2004
At the end of July Marc left Hanoi to study at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. During his short stay in Hanoi Marc was a big addition to the Hanoi Ultimate Club, his great skills and speed on the pitch, his personality and good looks (often mentioned by the HUC ladies) will be missed dearly. We hope he will be able to return to Vietnam to continue his work to preserve Vietnam's environment and to play and party with HUC.
We wish Marc the best and hope he finds a nice Ultimate team in New Haven.
THU GOT MARRIED AND MOVES TO TEXAS On 12 August 2004, a date chosen according to Vietnamese tradition by a fortuneteller, Thu, our Ultimate diva and mother of Ultimate in Hanoi, got married to Jeffrey. The newly wed couple will soon be leaving for his hometown Houston, Texas. The Hanoi Ultimate Club can hardly comprehend that Thu, our big organiser with all her connections, will leave Vietnam. We are grateful for all the work she has done for HUC and hope she will be able to continue to play disc in Houston and will visit Hanoi frequently in the future. For this special occasion Thu received the first and only HUC 'Ultimate diva' disc, a rare collectors item.

MARC HILLER TO NEW
HAVEN
The
city of New Haven played an important role in the development of our
sport: in 1871 William Russell Frisbie, a baker, started the 'Frisbie Pie
Company' close to the campus of Yale University. The story goes that Yale
students began tossing and catching the popular 'frisbie pie' tins and in
this way invented the frisbee.
